I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a license in Washington. My journey into the helping professions has been a lifelong calling. Before transitioning into therapy, I served as an intensive case manager for approximately eight years. During this time, I provided a wide range of services to individuals deeply affected by mental health issues, substance abuse, housing instability, and various complicating factors. My experience working closely with people reaffirmed my passion for this field, and I knew it was my calling. I also spent some time working in an inpatient hospital, gaining valuable insights into mental health from both personal and systemic perspectives. This experience solidified my decision to pursue a career in counseling, driven by the desire to create emotionally safe spaces for individuals to process their needs, desires, and sense of self.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in a holistic and integrative perspective. Recognizing the complexity and dynamism of individuals, I believe in providing dynamic solutions. Meaningful change occurs when one can identify what needs to change and the underlying motivation for taking action. Through a collaborative process, I offer guideposts and tools to facilitate the journey of change. Together, we will empower you to heal from past wounds and work towards living your best life.

I specialize in working with adults and couples, and I am also open to working with older adolescents. My areas of expertise encompass trauma, anxiety, shame, guilt, and life transitions. I have received training in EMDR Therapy and DBT Therapy, and I integrate these evidence-based approaches into a humanistic and client-focused framework.

In my personal life, I took up tennis at the age of 36, even though I never quite mastered the sport. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoy playing and appreciate the opportunity to engage my body in new ways. Beyond that, I nurture a variety of plants at home and am often planning my next adventure or trip. I share my home with my two beloved kitties and my partner, and I must confess, I’m quite the homebody.
