With nearly 30 years of experience in the healing professions, I bring a unique blend of expertise and compassion to my practice. My passion lies in helping individuals navigate significant life transitions and the profound experiences of loss that often accompany change.
My extensive background includes roles as a Certified Thanatologist and Death Educator, bereavement coordinator, mind-body therapist, and chaplain. This diverse experience, combined with my Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Seattle Pacific University, allows me to offer a deeply informed and empathetic approach to therapy. I am honored to walk alongside you as you explore, experience, and express your life's story.
I specialize in supporting individuals facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, and particularly, grief and loss. My work also focuses on navigating chronic pain mental health, life transitions, postpartum depression, perinatal mental health, and issues of shame and self-criticism. I believe each person’s story is unique, and there is immense power in listening to the grit, grace, and gratitude that have shaped your path.
My therapeutic approach is both an art and a science, utilizing a collaborative, whole-person perspective. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Focused therapy, and Mindfulness-Based techniques. As a provider of trauma-informed therapy, I create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your values, beliefs, and internalized messages impacting your well-being. This collaborative process helps reduce symptoms and build lasting confidence.
Clients often find my eclectic approach, which includes expressive arts and bibliotherapy, particularly beneficial. When working with grief and loss therapy, my goal is to help you develop healthier ways of processing complex emotions and finding meaning. Similarly, my focus on chronic pain mental health helps clients develop coping strategies and improve their quality of life. My commitment to trauma-informed therapy ensures that all aspects of your experience are acknowledged and respected.
Away from the office, I find joy in the arts, cultural events, and exploring the beautiful outdoors. I am an avid reader and value beauty and creativity in all their forms. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your journey toward healing.
