About Felicia
My journey to becoming a therapist grew from a desire to support others as they heal, better understand themselves, and feel more empowered in their lives. I began my career as a social worker, working in schools, juvenile detention centers, and community organizations. These experiences showed me how deeply trauma, relationships, life experiences, and larger social systems can shape our well-being and influence how we navigate the world.
I believe each person has a unique story and their own way of understanding and experiencing life. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and personalized, with a focus on meeting you where you are while honoring your strengths, experiences, and capacity for growth. I believe healing is a collaborative process, and I value building a genuine therapeutic relationship. I aim to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, explore life’s challenges and transitions, and develop a deeper understanding of who you are.
I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and draw from these approaches, as well as traditional talk therapy,, to support your individual needs and goals. I enjoy working with teens and adults and supporting them through the ups and downs of life.
I enjoy spending time with my family and my two dogs, watching movies, playing cozy games, and trying new restaurants. I also enjoy fiber arts like crocheting, and I’m currently learning how to knit.
