About Michelle
My path to becoming a therapist grew from years of professional experience, personal reflection, and a deep desire to support others. For over 20 years, I worked in executive recruiting, where I found the most meaning in helping people navigate transitions and process uncertainty. It became clear that what energized me most wasn’t business, it was connection, healing, and growth. Becoming a therapist wasn’t a sudden career shift; it felt like coming home.
In our work together, you’ll learn how to navigate complex thoughts and emotions without being defined by them. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and action-oriented. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based tools, and trauma-informed practices to help you reconnect with what matters most. Instead of trying to “fix” yourself, you’ll learn how to live more meaningfully, guided by your values rather than your fears. We’ll shift the focus from “Why am I stuck?” to “What’s the next right step I can take?”
I work best with individuals who feel overwhelmed, burned out, or unsure of their next chapter. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, or uncertainty with significant life transitions. I support adolescents and adults (ages 13 and up) from all backgrounds, including caregivers, parents, single mothers, and those in blended families or co-parenting arrangements. I also have experience working with individuals from LGBTQIA+ communities and those navigating religious or spiritual struggles or career-related stress. If you're struggling to find your footing in a shifting relationship dynamic, you're not alone. I offer a thoughtful and grounded space to explore what truly matters to you, allowing you to move forward with clarity and intention.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a proud mom to a teenage daughter and a dedicated soccer sideline cheerleader for her and our local NWSL team. I live near a lake and spend as much time as possible near the water, paddleboarding, kayaking, or relaxing with my dog. I also love jigsaw puzzles; there’s something so satisfying about making all the pieces fit.
