By reflecting in a supportive group setting, you realize your "inner critics" and anxieties are common experiences, reducing the isolation that often keeps us stuck in our own heads.
Sometimes words aren't enough. Whether you can't stop scrolling the headlines, feel like you're just going through the motions, or find yourself numbing out to what's happening in the world around you — this group offers something different. What if instead of feeling stuck, you could make meaning?
Build Cognitive Flexibility: Learn to hold difficult thoughts and feelings without being controlled by them, creating space between what you experience and how you respond.
Practice Acceptance: Move through the discomfort of current events using the Four A's — acknowledge, allow, accommodate, and appreciate — rather than pushing it away.
Reconnect with Your Values: Clarify what truly matters to you and explore how your actions can align with your values even in uncertain times.
Express What Words Can't: Art-based interventions offer a unique, creative outlet to process your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in ways that go beyond traditional talk therapy.

Our 8-week ACT & Art Group blends structured ACT psychoeducation with hands-on art-based activities and open group discussion, creating space to process the mental health impact of living in today's world:
Expert-Led ACT Psychoeducation: Each session introduces a core ACT process — acceptance, values, cognitive defusion, present-moment contact, and committed action — with direct connection to what's happening in your life right now.
Art as a Processing Tool: No art experience needed. Each week's directive is designed to help you externalize and explore your inner experience in a tangible, creative way.
A Safe, Closed Community: This is a closed group meeting weekly on Mondays from 2:00pm-3:30pm. The same people, the same space, every week — trust and confidentiality are central to how we work.
Skills You'll Use Beyond the Group: The processing tools you build here are designed to travel with you — applicable any time you interact with a challenging, overwhelming, or uncertain world.
Each session builds on the last, moving through the core processes of ACT while grounding every concept in creative expression and real-world application.
Week 1 – Orienting the Group: Get acquainted, form the group contract, and receive an introduction to ACT and art-based intervention. Set your personal intention for the weeks ahead.
Week 2 – Acceptance: Explore the Four A's of acceptance — acknowledge, allow, accommodate, appreciate — and practice creating space for uncomfortable inner experiences through a water affirmation art directive.
Week 3 – Avoidance: Identify patterns of avoidance, examine how they serve you in the short and long term, and explore what you may be avoiding in the current moment through a closing-and-opening curtains art activity.
Week 4 – Values: Clarify your core values and explore where they align or conflict with the current moment in time through a personal values collage.
Week 5 – Self as Context: Step into the observer self — learning to witness your thoughts and feelings as passing moments rather than absolute truth through a spiral of thought art activity.
Week 6 – Cognitive Defusion: Separate your core identity from your mental content, practicing the skill of observing thoughts and feelings as experiences rather than facts through an identity defusion art exercise.
Week 7 – Contact with the Present: Explore what it means to stay rooted in the present moment — rather than jumping to future worry or past experience — through an intuitive mark-making directive.
Week 8 – Intention & Committed Action: Reconnect with your values from week 4 and translate them into real, actionable goals — practicing value-aligned living through an ACT matrix art activity and closing reflection.
