About Megan

I was drawn to counseling because it felt like the most meaningful way to stay connected to and show up for the people in my community. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, clarify their goals, and build on their strengths. Ultimately, the privilege of walking alongside others as they work toward healing, growth, and their fullest potential inspired me to pursue a career in therapy.

I gravitate toward person-centered and feminist approaches, as they align with my values of empathy, authenticity, and honoring clients as the experts of their own lives. My practice incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness. You can expect warmth, curiosity, and openness from me, as I work to create a space where clients feel safe being their full selves.

My clinical interests center around working with clients navigating dating, sex, loneliness, grief, or disconnection and providing affirming, identity-centered care for LGBTQIA+ clients. It is important to me to hold space for my clients’ stories while acknowledging how systemic and cultural factors, including the current state of the world, shape our lived experiences.

I am currently completing a certificate in Perinatal Mental Health, where I am being trained to support those in the perinatal period including pregnant and postpartum individuals, non-birthing parents, those experiencing infertility, adoptive or foster parents, and anyone in the reproductive space.

Outside of therapy, you'll often find me cozying up with my two cats and a good show. I also enjoy practicing yoga, cooking, and eating out with friends -- my superpower is finding good food in a new city.
